Young M.A. made a reemergence to the music scene with her new single and video “Praktice” which aims to put her back on top. However, the “Ooouuu” rap star is dabbling into the world of skin flicks, and made her directorial debut with Pornhub.
M.A. hops behind the camera to direct all-female production The Gift, which features her music as the backdrop. In a behind the scenes trailer from the set of movie, M.A. breaks down her vision and involvement (seen in the video above).
Cardi B debut album Invasion Of Privacy was always expected to debut at the top spot of the Billboard charts but initial projections may not have taken her reach into effect. The first reports of the Bronx rapper's sales projections saw her moving between 170,000 to 200,000 equivalent album units in its first week with 45,000 to 55,000 pure sales among them.
Nicki Minaj has been M.I.A. from the music scene for some time (aside from her star turn on Migos’ “Motorsport” alongside Cardi B), but it looks like we’ll finally be finding out what she’s been so hard at work creating very soon. Only minutes ago, the self-declared “generous queen” of hip-hop posted a pair of single covers to her Instagram, teasing the release of both projects at 1PM EST Thursday (April 12).
The first cover for “Barbie Tingz” features Nicki in a Victorian-era ball gown, surrounded by masked, similarly-costumed women. The second, “Chun-Li,” depicts a closeup of Nicki clad in a Fendi ensemble with her hair pulled up into the iconic Street Fighter character’s signature ox-horn bun style.
So the other day I’m on instagram where I see Master P put up a post and in the caption he said “build a brand”. So I click it thinking he was gonna drop some jewels about branding but all he talked about was some damn rap chips. So I kept scrolling. Few days later I’m shopping for chips and guess what I see? Those damn rap chips. Didn’t realize there was sooo many. Trina has cheese puffs, fabulous had deli cheddar, lil boosie Louisa heat, Migos dabbin flavors with ranch, lil yachty with the hot cheese fries, Fetty Wap with the honey jalapeño and Romeo with the honey BBQ.
The Founder gathered together $40,000 to start Rap Snacks, and in his first meeting with a distributor he sold 800 cases, which sold out in two hours. “I kinda knew then, hey, I might have something here,” Lindsay says. Rap Snacks grew into a $5 million business, but temporarily plateaued due to the smaller size of the bags, which wasn’t as profitable for its producers. Laying low for around five years, Lindsay worked as a brand manager for rapper and fellow Philadelphian Meek Mill, which provided him with deeper insight into the power of the artist. The relaunch nine months ago meant Rap Snacks now produce larger bags and sell for a higher price, and so are more “user friendly” for manufacturers.
With product located in about 40 different cities around the U.S. and a plan in place to establish a partnership with 7/11 in the next two to three months, Rap Snacks now operates out of Atlanta, or as Lindsay describes the city, the current “mecca of hip-hop music.”

Update: Meek has been sentence for 2-4 years. Original story continues below.
Tmz has reported The MMG rapper's most recent probation violations could land him in prison for somewhere in the neighborhood of 20 months. Meek Mill has been in the headlines these past few months getting in trouble with the law. He had a a fight at an airport in St. Louis in March, and did some wild driving on a dirt bike here in NYC in August.
Even tho those charges from those two situations have both been dismissed, he's heading to court on Monday to deal with probation violations resulting from the St. Louis and NYC cases.
Meek has been probation because of a 2008 conviction on gun and drug charges. He served eight months and was put on probation afterwards. He was out on house arrest back in 2016 for 90 days for violating that probation for traveling without permission and received an additional a six-years on his probation.
Chris Brown's 45-track album Heartbreak on a Full Moon came out early Today and the singer had put out a message to his fans on Instagram to encourage them to buy the album with an unusual amount of detail in the post.
The instructions start out simply enough: "Buy it on iTunes and tweet/IG the link and a screenshot of your receipt," it reads. But once you buy it on iTunes, you're not supposed to actually listen to it. Instead, he wants you to play it on streaming services (repeating It as much as possible) and if you can't afford a streaming service, he gives ya instructions on how to get a free trial.
So what do you guys think? Is he trying to prove he's still a number one artist or just trying to pay off his lambo and mansions, leave a comment below.
Last week, Atlanta rappers Future and Young thug surprise the hip hop world with the joint mix tape Super Slimy. The new release quickly charted up to the top 10 of iTunes overall albums chart as soon as it dropped featuring beats by Southside, Richie Souf, Wheezy, London on Da Track, Mike WiLL Made-IT and more. The commercially-sold mixape is projected to move up to 100k equivalent album units in its first week out, with 30,000 of that coming from traditional album sales. Offset is the only feature on the mix tape which I think is the best song on it. Similar to Future and Drake’s collab, What a Time to Be Alive, both Thug and Future have solo tracks.
